Microsoft 365 E3. It combines Office 365 E3 services with Windows Enterprise, Intune, Entra ID P1 and endpoint-security entitlements.
Does the order cover exactly 100 people?
Yes. It is presented as a 100-named-user pack. Each person using the licensed services requires an assigned entitlement.
Is Microsoft Teams included?
The listing is titled “with Teams,” but Microsoft says integrated Teams enterprise suites are no longer available to new customers. Confirm tenant and channel eligibility before purchase.
What might a new customer need instead?
A new customer may require Microsoft 365 E3 without Teams plus a separate Microsoft Teams Enterprise licence.
How many people can join an E3 Teams meeting?
Microsoft currently documents up to 1,000 interactive participants for E3 plans.
Does Teams include a business phone system?
No. Teams Phone, PSTN connectivity, phone numbers and Calling Plans are separate.
Is this a perpetual licence?
No. It is a per-user subscription with a one-year term and requires renewal to retain full service and app functionality.
How large is each primary mailbox?
Microsoft's current Exchange limits list a 100 GB primary mailbox for Microsoft 365 E3 users.
How large can the archive become?
When auto-expanding archiving is enabled, Microsoft documents archive capacity up to 1.5 TB, subject to its service rules.
How much OneDrive storage is included?
Microsoft documents 1 TB per E3 user, with eligible users able to increase to 5 TB under current tenant requirements.
Does 100 users mean 500 TB of OneDrive immediately?
No. The default aggregate is 100 TB. Expansion toward 500 TB requires eligibility and configuration and should not be assumed at checkout.
How much SharePoint storage does 100 E3 licences add?
Microsoft's formula is generally 1 TB base plus 10 GB per licence, producing about 2 TB for 100 licences before add-ons.
How many devices can each user activate?
Up to five desktops or laptops, five tablets and five mobile devices per licensed user.
What is the maximum app footprint for 100 users?
Up to 1,500 activations across 500 desktops or laptops, 500 tablets and 500 phones, subject to per-user assignment.
Does E3 include Windows Enterprise?
Yes, as subscription step-up rights for qualifying devices with an underlying supported Windows Pro licence.
Will E3 upgrade Windows Home to Pro?
No. A separate qualifying Windows Pro base licence is required.
Is Windows Enterprise LTSC included?
No. Microsoft states that the subscription activation benefit does not include the Long-Term Servicing Channel.
Is Microsoft Intune included?
Yes. Microsoft documents Intune Plan 1 as part of the Microsoft 365 E3 bundle.
Which Microsoft Entra plan is included?
Microsoft Entra ID P1, including Conditional Access. Risk-based Conditional Access requires P2-level entitlement.
Which endpoint-security plan is included?
Microsoft Defender for Endpoint Plan 1. Server deployments require separate server licensing.
Is Defender for Office 365 included?
Yes. Microsoft states that Defender for Office 365 Plan 1 became included with Microsoft 365 E3 on 1 July 2026.
Does E3 include full Defender XDR?
No. Advanced hunting, automated investigation and broader Plan 2/XDR capabilities are associated with higher or add-on licensing.
Is Microsoft 365 Copilot included?
No. Microsoft documents Copilot as an available paid add-on for E3. It is bundled into Microsoft 365 E7, not standard E3.
What happens to Publisher?
Microsoft says Publisher leaves Microsoft 365 in October 2026. Convert important .pub files before retirement.
Can this join an existing Microsoft 365 tenant?
Confirm the fulfilment method and provide the correct tenant information before ordering to avoid duplicate-tenant or eligibility problems.
Does the subscription configure security automatically?
No. Administrators must configure identity, device, endpoint, email, data and monitoring policies.
