A professional decision, not merely a key

Move beyond the everyday Windows PC

Windows 11 Pro combines the modern Windows experience with features that address real business requirements: protecting data on mobile hardware, securely reaching an office PC, testing isolated environments and applying consistent settings across a growing team.

B

BitLocker management

Manage encryption for eligible internal and removable drives and maintain a documented recovery-key process.

RD

Remote Desktop host

Connect to the Pro PC from another device when Remote Desktop and the surrounding network are securely configured.

VM

Hyper-V and Sandbox

Create virtual machines and temporary isolated environments on compatible hardware for development, evaluation and testing.

GP

Group Policy

Apply repeatable user, security, network and device settings with granular administrative control.

ID

Domain and Entra join

Connect eligible devices to organisational identities, resources and management services.

UI

Focused productivity

Use Snap Layouts, multiple desktops, tabbed File Explorer and multi-display workflows to organise demanding work.

Security with realistic expectations

Protect the device, identity and data in layers

TPM 2.0, UEFI and Secure Boot capability establish a modern hardware baseline. Windows Hello can reduce everyday reliance on reusable passwords. BitLocker, Windows Security, SmartScreen and Windows Defender Firewall add controls across data, applications and networks.

No operating system replaces disciplined administration. Keep Windows and drivers current, use least-privilege access, store BitLocker recovery information separately and maintain tested backups.

Built for technical work

One platform for developers, consultants and administrators

Windows 11 Pro is well suited to professionals who need local virtualisation, isolated testing, secure remote access or organisational identity integration without moving immediately to an Enterprise-only licensing programme.

  • Developers: run Hyper-V, Windows Sandbox, Windows Terminal and WSL-compatible workflows where supported.
  • Remote professionals: host Remote Desktop sessions through an appropriately secured network design.
  • IT administrators: use Group Policy, provisioning and business update controls to standardise endpoints.
  • Power users: combine encryption, multiple desktops and advanced management tools on one professional PC.

What is the main difference between Windows 11 Home and Pro?

Pro adds business-oriented capabilities including Remote Desktop hosting, Hyper-V, Group Policy, domain and Entra ID join, and broader BitLocker management.

Does Windows 11 Pro include Microsoft Office?

No. Microsoft Office or Microsoft 365 applications require a separate licence or subscription.

Is this a subscription?

No. The selected Windows licence is sold as a one-time purchase. Windows support and feature availability remain subject to Microsoft’s lifecycle and servicing policies.

How many PCs can I activate?

The allowance is determined by the device-count option selected above. One entitlement is required for each activated PC.

Is the licence transferable?

Transfer rights depend on the supplied licence channel and Microsoft’s terms. Contact Software Mart Australia before purchase if transferability is required.

Can I upgrade Windows 11 Home to Pro?

A compatible Home device may be upgraded to Pro using an appropriate Pro upgrade or full Pro entitlement. Confirm the current edition, activation state and chosen licence route first.

Can I upgrade from Windows 10 Pro?

Eligible hardware can move to Windows 11 Pro after compatibility, driver, application and backup checks. Windows 10 support ended on 14 October 2025.

Does Windows 11 Pro include Hyper-V and Windows Sandbox?

Yes, these Pro features are available when the processor, firmware, memory and other platform requirements are satisfied and the components are enabled.

Can Windows 11 Pro host Remote Desktop?

Yes. The Pro PC can act as a Remote Desktop host when the feature and network are securely configured. The client device can use a compatible Remote Desktop client.

Does installing Pro make a PC a Copilot+ PC?

No. Copilot+ PC experiences require a qualifying hardware platform, including a suitable neural processing unit. Installing Windows 11 Pro does not add missing hardware.

How quickly is the licence delivered?

Fulfilment is electronic after successful payment and any required verification. Contact us before ordering if timing is critical.
